Piggyback is a fabulous place to meet friends for a lovely meal. It was extremely busy, but the service was fantastic. The food was amazing and the cocktails were also great.
The staff were attentive and friendly… but the food was unfortunately disappointing. The eggplant chips and spring rolls were heavily oily and the chicken green curry had deep fried battered chicken pieces in it, which greatly altered the curry taste. Expectations were high after experiencing exceptional food quality at Giddy Geisha & Rice Boi, but sadly, the food at this restaurant did not meet this standard.
Food very innovative and tasty, however to pay $22 for 2 prawns cut in half is ludicrous. We complained to waitress who gave us no feedback. We then spoke to Manager who did offer something else which we declined. First encounter with a complaint really shows whether the culture is customer focused or not. Considering you cannot book, have to line up and then sit on uncomfortable metal stools. We would certainly not go again.

The coconut braised beef is insanely flavourful with many complex flavours - definitely a must try!! The only negative was that it was soooo salty. Don’t think it would usually be like this… I’m still keen to give Piggyback another go!
Wonderful place to celebrate anything! Food, drinks and atmosphere are brilliant. Will be back soon for sure.
This place is something!!. The food was great my wife really enjoyed her Tamarind glazed beef short ribs,my son ordered My Ramen and I ordered Charcoal 1/2 chicken green curry. I must mention the staff were amazing and very accommodating. Better try it for your self and be the judge.There were flies when we visited but they have managed to give us a device to shoo them away 🌬️🪰#spring
